Nice job on your videos, Tim! Would you consider widening your audience even further by also posting them at www.woodmagazine.com/woodtube? We have more than 500 woodworking videos there, all made by woodworkers, for woodworkers.

Thanks!

Hey Ben, I used just a regular craftsman router with a 1/4" straight bit. If I gave any tip it would be to make sure the piece was clamped down well. I would always do test run to make sure the clamps would not get in the way. The first sign was out of pine and this was out of cherry. You do have to be careful while freehanding work. There is one way that the router wants to go and I always try to "write" in that direction or the bit tries to jump. Thanks for stopping by!

Very cool. Any tips like what type of router, bits you use, or how you hold the router. What material are you using..

I'd be very wary of trying this. The few times I've done something freehand the router has moved in a different direction than I've moved it. Heck even using a guide sometimes the router will wander away from the edge it's butted up against.

It's starting to move along. This week I will be getting all those pieces put together and the back panels all glued up.

I received a bread board as a gift for Christmas. The purple heart and oak are beautiful. It is a wonderful addition to my kitchen counter top and a very useful item.

You and me both. I'm really waiting for the bread board to be done. I know there will be a difference in colors of the cherry and mahogany, but I want to see just how much of a difference. Thanks for stopping by.
