Holidays Are Over!

The year 2015 was very good. From not only growth on my YouTube channel, birch tree

doctor whobut also in the shop. I learned a lot and learning more everyday. I started using power tools again and slowly getting my shop adapted to being able to use those better. Organization is always playing a factor in a shop and moving things around is helping. The scrap wood pile is getting slimmer as well by throwing things out that I know I don’t need or want.

So what does 2016 look like? It should get very interesting. I acquired a lathe as a gift from my wife and already starting to use and learn different techniques. So far I’ve turned a front knob for a hand plane and also a door stop. This is turning out to be a lot of fun to use. I think that during 2015 I didn’t do as much blacksmithing as I wanted to so I am hoping to increase that this year and also get welding into the mix. I really like seeing projects that have both metal and wood combined. Hopefully I will be able to put out weekly articles as well and I want to start using google sketchup to create plans. I’ve also started painting with my wife. It is a great way to spend time together. So far I’ve painted 2 paintings, a winter scene and a Doctor Who Tardis. They turned out better than I could have ever imagined.

I am hoping to see growth in my YouTube channel this year as well. I once again met my goal of achieving 10K subscribers and increasing my views as well. I would like to put out more than one video a week and also stay up to date with vlogging. I would like to say thank you to everyone for a great 2015 and hope to have an awesome 2016.
